Frequently asked questions

Do I have to book ?
We recommend booking to make sure you don’t miss out! Especially Friday & Saturdays. However, you can still get a table by walking in, although we might ask you to wait a few moments.

Do you allow dogs?
No, only guide dogs are allowed

Is there disabled access?
Due to the age of the building, accessing can be difficult, we have had wheelchair users in the restaurant but this is dependent on the width of the wheelchair. In addition we also do not have dedicated disabled toilet facilities.

Do you offer baby changing facilities?

No, unfortunately we do not  currently have baby changing facilities. 

Are children allowed in the the restaurant?

Children are very welcome in the restaurant at any time, however it does get very busy after 7pm on weekends and can be unsuitable for very young children. 


Do you have highchairs? 

Yes, however we have a limited amount. 

Can I book the restaurant for a large table?
Yes, we accept large bookings.
Tables of 7 or more will be required to pay a deposit. Terms can be found when booking online. 

Do you do private hire?
Unfortunately we are not able to offer private hire at the moment.
We hope to be able to offer this in the restaurant in the future.

Do you do gift vouchers?

Yes these can be purchased from the restaurant during opening hours. 

Do you have a dress code?
No! but please no dirty work wear. 

Do you have parking?

Yes we have our own large free car park. If full please feel free to use local public car park in Elmstead, on the main road going towards Clacton. 

Can I bring my own wine/drink ?

No, we do not offer a corkage service. All drinks must be purchased from the restaurant
